The Waste Remix music video studies the relationship between the private and public spheres, and how we find freedom in both. Initially, our protagonists find it easier to be fully uninhibited and embodied in the safety of their own home. But it feels two dimensional, like an old painting. They discover that a perhaps more transformative experience of intimacy exists in finding freedom within a crowd. In that space, they find layered versions of themselves, layers of vulnerability. It is a commentary on how coming together in person can bring us closer to our true humanity, which so many people in our modern world have abandoned.
