Terafab! This is a joint venture between SpaceX and Tesla will be the most advance chip manufacturing facility and the largest structure in the world once completed. This is where chips for the SpaceX “Star Mind” AI Satellites, the Tesla Optimus humanoid Robot and other future products will be mass manufactured.
What a gorgeous day to fly at Terafab today, with great visibility of the entire site and generally even lighting across the site. I was also able to fly from a new location that gave me better access to the site, and I think the drone views bear this out!

In the introduction, I talk about the land purchases that have continued to expand to include more of the site needed to build the entire Terafab. Now over 8,100 acres of buildable land purchases have been made, up from about 6,600 in August with much more yet to come.
The Gibbons Creek Reservoir was also purchased, which brings to total land area owned by Tesla and SpaceX to about 12,000 acres. Finally, land purchases south of Highway 30 indicate the ultimate goal may be to own a significant amount of land around the final Terafab buildings to include the access roadways and off ramps from the existing highway.
Also, it is good to remind viewers that this is only phase 1 of what is envisioned as 10 phases of construction, so there are years ahead of land preparation, clearing, reconfiguration and more to build this massive factory, The scale of the effort is truly hard to imagine!
I talk about the burn ban being lifted so now crews clearing the site can burn the debris again, and this was in full view today.
So far, the site that is being worked on is west of a diagonal tree cut line where utilities cross the site, and before they can extend further to the east, I think they will need to relocate these utilities (probably gas pipelines) since this crosses through where all of the construction will need to take place as the building grows larger.
I also was able to show more of the eastern part of the site, specifically the central large, dammed lake that will need to be completely drained and then reclaimed as the building will pass through this area including where the synchrotron for the free electron laser will be constructed.
Overall, what I hope this drone video allows for the viewer is to truly appreciate the immense scale involved with this project and the effort levels that will be involved to build the biggest, and arguably most technologically advanced structure on the planet.
