With the duping trick gone on console, people might be happy to know I have found a way to make runes drop from Lower Kurast, here is a video of me making a Ber rune drop.
The setup is a bit of a thing, and my tooling is a little unwieldy, but if there's enough interest I could try make a web app or something for people to use it. I'm going to post a deeper dive post on r/diablo2 at some point, so look out for that. Just wanted to get the video out there now for people to see it working.
The basic premise is:
Look at the gamble window to determine your game seed
Look forward to what runes could potentially pop in the chests
Use waypoint jumping to advance RNG to desired state
Works on my PS5 and PC, should work on Switch and Xbox.
