Jarvis Cocker founded the British band Pulp at the age of 15. After numerous lineup changes and many years without major success, the band achieved their breakthrough in the mid-1990s with the albums His ’n’ Hers and *Different Class*. As a defining Britpop band, Pulp thrilled the audience at Munich’s Alabamahalle in 1996—featuring, of course, their big hit "Disco 2000."
