🎯 TIME CRISIS Full Longplay | NEW TeknoParrot Support + 8X Resolution

TIME CRISIS is Namco's original 1995 light gun arcade shooter, now running through TeknoParrot on PC with the internal rendering resolution pushed to 8X for a sharp, upscaled image, widescreen enabled, played here on a pair of RS3 Reaper light guns for real slide-action recoil. This is a full longplay, no commentary, played straight through from the opening briefing to the end credits.

TIME CRISIS ran on Namco's Super System 22 arcade board, custom hardware that's spent years with incomplete or imperfect emulation across the usual tools, so getting it running cleanly on modern PC hardware through TeknoParrot is a genuine arcade preservation win. You're playing as V.S.S.E. agent Richard Miller, sent to infiltrate Sercian rebel Sherudo Garo's castle and rescue the kidnapped Rachel Hardy from the mercenary Wild Dog before the deadline runs out. This is also the game that introduced the cover-and-pop-out pedal mechanic the entire franchise, and a lot of the light gun genre after it, still uses.

Personally, running this at 8X resolution with the RS3 Reapers was a genuinely different experience than any previous emulated pass at this game I've seen. The slide-action recoil on the Reapers lines up with Miller's reload animation in a way that made the whole thing click for me. If you grew up watching someone else play this in an arcade, this is about as close as it gets on PC right now.
