Senator-judge Imee Marcos questioned whether retired Sandiganbayan Justice Amparo Cabotaje-Tang could be considered a “disinterested party” after the prosecution presented her as a witness for Article II of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial.
Marcos question rooted from the subpoena that was served at the Batasan office of House prosecutor Rep. Chel Diokno. Diokno explained that the arrangement was made to protect Cabotaje-Tang due to security concerns, saying such measures are also used in ordinary cases.
