US president departs Shannon Airport | #RTENews #donaldtrump

The US President has departed Shannon Airport on Air Force One.

Donald Trump travelled to the airport by helicopter from Doonbeg, where he spent a second day watching the final round of the Irish Open.

Mr Trump spoke to the travelling press pool of reporters on the tarmac before boarding Air Force One.

He then posed for photographs with some of his family, who will return to the US on a separate flight.
