This is likely the final drink of President George HW Bush. Based on how he lived post-presidency and especially in his later years, he likely died with a vodka martini still in his stomach. It was his favorite drink, a gently relaxing 6PM stiff one that he would share with First Lady Barbara Bush, though that’s where the Manhattan comes in here….quite a tale. 77 years married is NUTS. Incredible, really. I’d wanna go out on a FULL Manhattan, not just a sip, but hey…no notes.
