Neon has released the trailer for Luca Guadagnino's 'Artificial,' the OpenAI biopic starring Andrew Garfield as Sam Altman. It opens in theaters Christmas Day and centers on Altman's sudden 2023 firing and reinstatement five days later. The cast includes Ike Barinholtz as Elon Musk, Monica Barbaro as Mira Murati, Yura Borisov as Ilya Sutskever, and Mark Rylance as Geoffrey Hinton. Simon Rich wrote the script. Amazon MGM originally planned a worldwide release but dropped the project earlier this year — after signing a major OpenAI partnership and investing $50 billion in the company.
