Part of the World Championship Finals, the HSV VL SS Group A was given away as part of a $150,000 prize pool, with a cool Holden logo solid gold & diamond keyring valued at $2000 also.
Mentioned price was $49,082 on the road, which was higher than what they were actually in showrooms for, and I suspect that this one was given away due to the low sales in late 1988/1989.
This episode aired on March 2 1989 and was night 9 of the world championship finals of Sale of the Century.
