Peru Earthquake: 6.7 Magnitude Quake Hits Southern Regions | News9

A magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck Peru’s southern Andes Mountains on Thursday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS). The epicentre was located 38 kilometres northwest of Upahuacho in the Parinacochas province of the Ayacucho region, at a depth of around 66.7 kilometres. Tremors were felt across parts of southern Peru, including Ica and Arequipa. There were no immediate reports of major damage or casualties, while authorities continue to monitor the situation for possible aftershocks.
