The second teenager charged as an adult in the shooting of a Rodgers Forge man two years ago faced a judge for sentencing Monday. Kai Wilson, 17, received a 40-year prison sentence with the judge suspending all but 25 years. The first five years of Wilson's sentence are to be served without the possibility of parole. The judge talked about the planning and engineering of what he called senseless and complicated maneuvers. Wilson and Kamar Thompson were arrested in October 2024 in connection with the shooting of Mark McKenzie the month prior during an attempted robbery outside his Rodgers Forge home.
