President Donald Trump will headline a pre-Independence Day celebration at Mount Rushmore on July 3, adding a speech beneath the granite faces of four consequential presidents to his schedule of events surrounding the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding.
A White House official told USA TODAY that Trump would be heading to South Dakota for the event at the national memorial that's hosted by Freedom 250, the group working with the administration to put on anniversary events.
