A Baltimore County police officer was struck by gunfire while responding to a call Sunday morning in Pikesville. County police said officers were called around 8:50 a.m. to a trail off Milford Mill Road for a suspicious person/indecent exposure report. Police said officers arrived and were fired upon by an armed subject and gunfire was exchanged. Baltimore County Police Chief Robert McCullough said one officer was struck in the upper body and taken to Shock Trauma by a Maryland State Police helicopter.
