Got the wrong mail-in ballot? Here's what to do

Hundreds of thousands of Maryland voters plan to cast a mail-in ballot, but some received ballots for the wrong party. Maryland Elections Administrator Jared DeMarinis told WBAL-TV 11 News on Monday that it's possible that only a small number of voters were sent the wrong party ballot, but because it's unknowable for sure, everyone who requested a mail-in ballot will receive a replacement. WBAL-TV 11 News Investigates confirmed the error in this report last week. The Maryland State Board of Elections said a vendor error meant some voters received ballots for the wrong party — not the one to which they are registered — and unaffiliated voters received ballots they shouldn't have.
