Levski Sofia have revealed plans for a major €120 million redevelopment of Georgi Asparuhov Stadium in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The project would modernize the club’s long-time home, increase capacity to around 24,700 seats, and bring the stadium up to UEFA Category IV standards. The design also includes a fully covered seating bowl, upgraded fan facilities, improved technical systems, and the ability to host concerts and major events with a capacity of up to 40,000.
In this video, we look at what Levski Sofia are planning, why Georgi Asparuhov Stadium needs the upgrade, how the redevelopment could change the club’s matchday future, and what this project means for football infrastructure in Bulgaria.
