Ramen Fried Rice… this combo shouldn’t work (but it does)

This ramen fried rice is one of those recipes that sounds questionable… until you try it. It’s savory, slightly spicy, and honestly addictive. You might’ve seen it trending in NYC Korean spots, but this is actually a nostalgic, lowkey classic in Korea.

The magic is in the texture, crispy fried rice mixed with chewy, crushed ramen noodles. It’s quick, cheap, and hits every craving at once.

If you’re bored of plain fried rice or instant ramen, this is your sign to level it up.

Recipe:
* Crush ramen noodles in a ziplock bag into small pieces
* Add noodles to a cup with seasoning powder and a small amount of water, cook until just softened (not soupy)
* In a pan, stir-fry rice with eggs and black pepper until halfway cooked
* Add cooked ramen into the pan and stir-fry everything together
* Keep mixing until combined and slightly crispy
* Finish with sesame oil
* Plate and top with sesame seeds and crushed dried seaweed (gim)
