The mother of a Baltimore City firefighter who died in 2023 has a message for the families of fallen heroes. Next Friday will mark the 41st annual Fallen Heroes Day Ceremony at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium. This year, the family speaker will be Monica Gant, who still can't believe her son is gone. Baltimore City Firefighter/EMT Rodney Pitts III died while fighting a rowhouse fire on Linden Heights Avenue in 2023.
