How To Make Windows Programs Start Up 230% Faster & Why Windows BOOT is SLOW!

In this video, I show you a simple registry "speed hack" that can make your computer start up to 200% faster!

Microsoft recently changed how Windows 11 (specifically versions like 24H2 and updates around July 2025) handles startup. By design, Windows now waits for your processor to reach an "idle state" before loading your startup programs like Discord, OBS, or Steam. While this makes the core OS look like it boots fast, it leaves you waiting minutes for your apps to actually be ready.

I tested this on my high-end video editing rig (Intel 270K, 32GB RAM, X890 motherboard) and slashed my boot time from 2 minutes 19 seconds down to just 43 seconds—a 230% improvement!

1. Press Win + R, type regedit, and press Enter.
2. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
3. Right-click on the Explorer key and select New Key. Name it Serialize.
1. Note: If "Serialize" already exists, use it.
4. Right-click on the new Serialize key, select New DWORD (32-bit) Value.
5. Name it WaitForIdleState (case-sensitive) and set its value to 0.
6. In the same Serialize key, create another DWORD (32-bit) Value, name it StartupDelayInMSec and set its value to 0.
7. Restart your computer to apply the changes.
