Deep in the Amazon jungle, local communities have reported encounters with enormous serpents for decades. Creatures far beyond any recorded size. Scientists have largely dismissed these accounts — but the fossil record tells a different story.

Titanoboa, the largest snake in history, once dominated the same rivers and flooded forests where green anacondas live today. The conditions that allowed it to grow to such extraordinary size — could they still exist?
