Still, his courage reaches powerful ears.

He meets the Duke of Medina Sidonia, who believes Columbus’s westward plan could save Spain’s economy after costly wars and restricted African trade routes.
But the Duke’s pride ruins everything—royal consent is denied.

the Duke of Medina Celi, a tactful sponsor with real influence.

And this time… it works.
