In this deeply personal birth vlog, you’ll follow one mama’s full prenatal journey with me and then witness her powerful birth attended by both myself and my daughter, Ivey.

This mama desired a lot of emotional support during her labor, and you’ll notice I speak more than I typically do at births. Every woman labors differently. Some need quiet space. Some need strong verbal encouragement. Supporting women in the way they need — not the way we prefer — is part of individualized midwifery care.

You’ll also see how we intentionally honor each client’s unique spiritual beliefs. When a woman feels vulnerable in labor, her spiritual framework often becomes her anchor. Whether that’s prayer, scripture, affirmations, breathwork, visualization, yoga, or simply calling in strength from something greater than herself — we meet her there. Supporting a woman spiritually during labor can shift everything fo the good at the most intense moments.

The parents had considered carching their own baby — something we love supporting when families desire it — but in the end, they asked me to receive their little one earthside. That sacred transfer of trust is something I never take lightly.
