Windows 11 Dev Build 26300.8170 (26H2): What's New?

New Windows 11 26H2 Dev build - 26300.8170. It's a new dawn for the Windows Insider Program! Hidden in this build is a redesigned Windows Insider Program settings page and a feature flags page, both major changes as MS prepares to merge the Dev and Canary channels into one "Experimental" channel. Dev as it is now will become the 26H2 (labelled 25H2) path of Experimental.

There are several nice changes to storage bits, including better storage settings performance and an increased FAT32 format limit from CLI.

The Dev Channel has now moved to 26300.xxxx builds, which may include extra platform work and will pave the way for the Windows 11 2026 Update/Windows 11, version 26H2.
