I Tested Every FIFA Academy System Ever!

In most gaming franchises, usually the newest game is the best. Sometimes a random old game will be the most loved, but it’s nothing compared to FIFA. Ask anyone what their favourite FIFA game is, and you’ll hear people say FIFA 08, FIFA 14, FIFA 17, FIFA 21, FC26, or literally any game in between. But that made me think, while I think FIFA 17 is the most complete overall, which game had the best academy system?

This is probably the most important feature in the game, we get so attached to our homegrown wonderkids that we remember them better than our old schoolfriends, and EA has experimented with it quite a lot over the past 22 years. I thought i’d put together a deep dive retrospective talking about the changes, and answer the question, Which FIFA game has the best academy?
