For the last year, since her last birthday in fact. Doc., your Anime AMV Queen, has been Redubbing Sailor Moon in HD with the DiC dub for the first time (to our knowledge). It has gone through several different stages. At first I had gotten her setup with Topaz for AI Upscaling from the DVDs that she ripped herself, with a little help. But there were a lot of artifacts, because as we all know, the original VHS filmscan of all those DiC episodes are... rough. So, being the perfectionist my wife is, she scrapped that idea. She bought a fancy Bluray ripper and all of the Viz 1080p BluRays and went to work re-cutting the scenes to make mouthing and timing work with the DiC dub, one frame at a time. Additionally, being the Cartoon Network purist that she is, she found DVD versions of the original VHS tapes that cartoon network sold of the show, so that she could pull the commercial interlude intro/outro scenes from each episode, upscale them with Topaz, then de-noise and de-artifact the scenes, and cut them in where they should be in each episode. Did I mention she's amazing?
