Is Project Motor Racing Update 2.0 Worth Your Time?

It’s been four months since Project Motor Racing was released, and after a series of hotfixes and patches, ‘Update 2.0’ is here.

But is it any good and will it tempt us back to Straight4 Studios PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S sim racing game?

We’ve been hands-on with the ‘Patch 2.0’ ahead of its release (today, 25th March 2026), and we used this to assess how PMR has progressed since its release date. All footage and opinions here are related to the PC version; we’re told console versions have received a graphical uplift with this build, too.

We were also advised that rolling back to Nvidia driver 591.86 may help reduce graphical “flickering, lighting anomalies, and, for some, performance” issues.
