US President Donald Trump says he spoke with a former US president about the Iran strikes, revealing the unnamed leader told him he wished he had carried out the attack himself.
“No president was willing to do what I’m doing … I've spoken to a certain president, who I like, actually, a past president, he said I wish I did it,” Mr Trump said.
“But they didn't do it, I’m doing it.
“I can't tell you, I don't want to embarrass him; it would be very bad for his career.”
