Israeli President Isaac Herzog met Bernie Galsim Lavarias, the widower of Mary Ann V. De Vera, a Filipino national who was killed in an Iranian missile attack on Tel Aviv last week at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem on Thursday (March 12).
The meeting was held with the participation of the Philippine Ambassador to Israel, Aileen Mendiola.
Herzog expressed his deepest condolences Lavarias to the Filipino people, and said Israel mourns the loss of an innocent civilian. He also conveyed his appreciation for the contribution of the Filipino community to Israeli society.
