Watch This Kluh: Black Hulk Fan Made Concept Trailer (2026)
In Mark Ruffalo's latest take on Bruce Banner's dark transformation as Kluh - "the Hulk's Hulk" - he embodies the twisted inverse of all Bruce has worked to keep under the surface of the rage caused by gamma radiation for years. For years Bruce has kept a fragile peace between his humanity and the beast in him; however, in finding that the constant suppression did not eradicate his "darkness," but instead compressed it into something far worse than anything he had experienced before in his rage, he finds himself up against a new enemy: Kluh, the malevolent shadow self of Banner, which sees humanity as weak and inferior, and believes that Banner's restraint requires brutal correction via the destruction of everything he loves. Harrison Ford's Thaddeus Ross returns, facing his own gamma-related problems, and realizing that this new threat makes every previous Hulk incident seem tame compared to Kluh, due to the fact that Kluh combines the intellect of a man with the strength of the Hulk and the complete lack of any moral constraint, making the possibility of containing an apocalyptic event unpreventable by any form of military response.
The visual representation of Kluh is absolute nightmare fuel, depicted as a darker, more demonic version of the Hulk, moving with calculated intelligence, and purposeful destruction, not driven by berserker rage, but by the desire to maximize the emotional harm, along with the physical devastation caused by Kluh. Ruffalo delivers a double performance as Banner, desperate to maintain control over his own mind, while Kluh systematically disassembles his entire existence, creating horror, in a way that causes your own body to become a prison controlled by a part of yourself that cannot be reasoned with, nor suppressed anymore. The film also explores the psychological fractures that occur when coping mechanisms fail catastrophically, and asks the question of whether some trauma is so deep that just managing its symptoms merely postpones the inevitable collapse. Ford lends gravity to Ross, who is trying to determine whether the only way to stop Kluh is to destroy Banner completely, or if separation is even possible, when the consciousness has been split beyond the point of integration. Viewers can expect to experience body horror sequences depicting transformation as a violation, rather than a power-up; genuine terror at watching someone fight a losing battle against their own psyche; and a final confrontation that addresses whether some parts of ourselves are too destructive to even admit exist, and thus out of our control once we give them autonomy separate from our conscious will.
