Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa has arrived at the Kremlin in Moscow for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin during an official visit to Russia.

According to Syria’s state news agency SANA, discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations, as well as recent regional and international developments. The Kremlin confirmed Sharaa’s arrival, which was broadcast live on Russian state television.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the talks will also address issues related to the presence of Russian armed forces in Syria. This marks Sharaa’s second visit to Russia in four months.
