World's first sub-3h time in this new category! I didn't die to any of the bosses, mini-bosses, or forced fights with elites (the only unintentional deaths were to Arche Abbey's first half); overall, this run was excellent for only a week's worth of progress!
Besides the initial starter weapon selection and forced dialogue prompts, in this run you're not allowed to do anything that requires interacting with a UI element outside of the main gameplay screen: a better way to phrase the restriction would be "No Menuing". The word "interacting" is key: accidentally opening the game's main menu isn't penalized, and going into the Stargazer menu and immediately leaving to refresh your character's status is likewise OK (if we restrict this, all that would change is that you would kill yourself every time you'd like to refresh your Pulse Cells/Durability at a Stargazer).
What's allowed in this run:
•Picking a starter class and weapon
•Using the Left Arm of Steel and Puppet String (when it's auto-equipped)
•Using the default items from the Belt and Extra Menu (Pulse Cells, Grindstone, Monad's Lamp, Last Resort)
•Using a Stargazer without interacting with its menu options
•Interacting with NPCs for story progression (and making choices when they're presented)
What's not allowed:
•Changing Equipment (including unequipping items)
•Changing Belt and Extra Menu items
•Using any item through the main menu, Bag menu, etc.
•Returning to the Title Screen or closing the game
•Talking to any NPCs outside of story/run progression (no leveling up, shopping, weapon upgrades, changing handles, etc.)
•Using any option in the Stargazer menu (including leveling up and teleportation)
•Equipping any Quartz to the P-Organ
Specific to this speedrun, Specters are also restricted out and the run is done glitchless (including boss skips and going out-of-bounds).
