The 1983 Video Game Crash: How It Happened and How Video Games Came Back

The crash of the American video game industry was multifaceted…and, somehow, unforeseen to those deeply embedded in the industry. It came as a result of incredibly horrific business practices, mind-boggling greed, and horrendous games that were deeply unplayable and unimaginatively repetitive.

In today’s video, we go deep…and I mean DEEP…into the causes and effects of the 1983 video game crash, discussing its origins, long-lasting impacts, and when the crash finally ended.

This is the longest and most in-depth video I’ve produced so far, and I’m proud of it. I REALLY hope you enjoy it!!
