A key line from The Boys’ season 5 trailer seems to confirm that the TV show will be adapting Billy Butcher’s dark ending directly from the comic book. Amazon will be dropping the two-episode premiere of The Boys’ fifth and final season on April 8, 2026, and the streamer’s marketing campaign to drum up excitement for the show’s last hoorah has already begun.

Amazon has released the first trailer for The Boys season 5, which gives us an idea of where the series will go after the bombshell cliffhanger at the end of season 4. There are a few exciting teases in this trailer. Ashley seems to have become the White House Press Secretary, and Homelander is seen punching someone off-screen, which could be Butcher, Soldier Boy, or even Ryan.
