After 30 years Kevin Returns to his hometown in Chicago, only to find out that the Wet Bandits have taken over the crime world. He came up with the plan to catch them using his tech from his home security company before Christmas Day.

►What is the goal of making these fan trailers?

In MacamTV they are created to inspire film-makers through my unique ideas and to show them how much audience wants to see it happen through my trailers.

►Is this trailer inspired by a real movie coming soon?

As of the making of this video, no official movie coming soon. Let’s never give up dreaming until this dream movie becomes reality!

►How do you make it clear its fan trailer not official?

Most fan trailers don’t have good reputation because they aren’t clearly labeled. At MacamTV, we set a good example by marking ours as fan made in the title and beginning/end of the video, while avoiding studio logos so viewers know they’re unofficial. The goal is to restore the true spirit of fan trailers, as fun, creative showcases of dream movies.

►How are dream trailers created?

I first become a fan of the franchise, then get knowledge about franchise news, fan theories and updates about the dream movie. Then research “fresh” clips of the actors and anything to tell the story in the dream trailer using effects, music, AI, and editing software like Wondershare Filmora, Photopea, and more.

Editing Details:

I made this fan-made trailer with a blend of classic Home Alone nostalgia and modern action-thriller energy. The plot is something fresh I came up with as a longtime fan: Kevin returns as a grown man, now a wealthy owner of a security tech company, only to discover that the Wet Bandits have reinvented themselves into most successful criminals. I wanted to make Kevin’s introduction epic, so I build it up. The editing focuses on mixing warm holiday colors with sharp, high-tech visuals to show Kevin’s evolution—from a clever kid to a brilliant adult who turned childhood trauma into a business empire. Quick cuts, flashbacks, and sound effects from the original films were used to spark that familiar feeling fans love.

To push the “revenge comeback” theme, I alternated chaotic slapstick moments with darker, more cinematic scenes. The Wet Bandits now have help, and their criminal success adds weight to the conflict, giving this trailer a more epic scale while still feeling true to the franchise’s tone. I made this trailer to inspire filmmakers to create a worthy continuation with Macaulay Culkin back as Kevin McCallister. If there was ever a right way to bring Home Alone back, it’s by letting Kevin face his past one more time—with better traps, bigger stakes, and the same mischievous spirit.
