Despite being on the same side during World War 2, the German Army (Wehrmacht) and the SS hated each other at times. The Army was built upon military traditions, but the SS turned their backs on this and they wanted more recognition. However the SS were known for their war crimes and this even had a huge impact on the Army and regular soldiers. But why did the Wehrmacht hate the SS?
