In Episode 30 of The Legend of Zorro, thugs from the Teodoro Finance Company shake down Cella for an impossible loan “interest” and her late mother’s ring. Kind-hearted Sergeant Gonzalez steps in (and falls head-over-heels), but Teodoro reveals a sinister angle: the ring proves Cella’s lineage to an English duke—and Teodoro wants that inheritance.
As Cella is kidnapped, a shocking twist appears: Lemon, presumed dead, was coerced into Teodoro’s crew. With timing worthy of a hero, Zorro storms the lair, shreds the forged IOUs, and frees everyone. Cella and Lemon set off for England to claim her birthright, while a heartbroken Gonzalez gets a comic send-off at a town party celebrating the collapse of Teodoro Finance.
