Baltimore County school officials get false-positive alerts daily from the district's gun-detection system powered by artificial intelligence, but they only release documentation regarding major events, WBAL-TV 11 News Investigates has learned. Over the past two weeks, county police responded to Kenwood and Parkville high schools for false-positive alerts to weapons on the campuses. In Baltimore County, the Omnilert system detects objects and provides photos and a videos to six people, including school resource officers and school administrators, who ultimately make the call on whether to respond.
