Coppin State hosts students for original play, 'She a Gem'

Thousands of Baltimore City middle school students were treated to see an original production on a professional stage thanks to a new program. It may not look like much, but the stage at Coppin State University is set for a new original play, "She a Gem," and it's where all the magic happens. The play is written by Coppin State's director of performance, Josh Wilder, and runs through Nov. 23. Weekday performances are particularly special because more than 3,000 middle school students from across Baltimore City will see it for free thanks to the new One Play Baltimore initiative.
