UK on PERILOUS collision course with Trump over $1billion BBC threat

Keir Starmer is 'on collision course' with Donald Trump over the BBC Panorama editing scandal.

The UK prime minister refused to call the corporation corrupt despite a string of blunders forcing both its director general Tim Davie and head of news Deborah Turness to quit.

Trump has demanded a full apology from the BBC by Friday or has threatened to sue the Corporation for $1billion (£760m).

The Beeb plunged into a deeper crisis as lawyers for the US President demanded a “full and fair retraction” by the end of the week alongside damages, or he would see them in court.
