Maryland Gov. Wes Moore visited Johns Hopkins University on Veterans Day to speak with ROTC cadets about leadership, service and how his military experience prepared him for his role as governor. Moore, a Johns Hopkins alumnus, shared his journey of joining the Army at the age of 17, becoming a second lieutenant at 19 and attending the university. He also discussed his deployment in Afghanistan, where his role involved getting Taliban fighters to stop fighting against the U.S. and collaborate with the U.S. and the new Afghan government.
