The WBAL-TV 11 Weather Team has entered the First Snow Contest again this year. In order for a date to count, it has to be the first measurable snow of the season at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, Baltimore’s official recording station. Most of the team thinks the region will get an early start to the snow season this winter, and there are plenty of signals that point in that direction. The last few years, the first snow has held off until January. This year, though, the region might even get a visit from the Snow Train around the holidays.
