They Telling Us There Is No Way Cash Money Beat No Limit, But We Not From There | YMWSD4T Clips

VERZUZ made its way back into the public eye with Cash Money and No Limit duking it out in a late-90s to mid-2000s battle for Louisiana supremacy. While No Limit brought more energy, more showmanship, and had high highs, Cash Money’s overall consistency has some of us giving the edge to them. However, being far removed from the South and the timeline when these two were at their first peaks (Cash Money went on to have multiple peaks with YM etc.), the notoriety of the music coming from Birdman and Mannie Fresh’s house leaves some of us saying they came out on top simply because we “know the songs.” Prior to the internet era, there was a lot more that went into songs being bigger and having more impact like actual on-the-ground relevance. As we dissect the VERZUZ from our eyes and perspective and examine the things that were missing (Mystikal, Lil Wayne), and certain songs being omitted (and played), we give our opinions.
