This is the moment a predator migrant who was mistakenly freed from a bungling prison was finally caught after nine days on the run.
Brahim Kaddour-Cherif, 24, was wrongly released from HMP Wandsworth in South West London on Wednesday last week – and days later another lag, fraudster William Smith, was also accidently allowed to walk from the same prison.
Smith handed himself in, but Kaddour-Cherif was found by cops today and was re-arrested.
The Met Police said on X: “Officers have arrested Brahim Kaddour Cherif who was released in error from HMP Wandsworth on 29 October.
“Cherif was spotted by a member of the public in Blackstock Road, Islington just before 11.30am. Officers responded immediately and he was arrested.”
Footage of the arrest heard cops telling him he looks “identical” to the wanted man released from custody as he angrily protested.
