FAA reducing flights at dozens of airports, including BWI-Marshall

Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport is on the Federal Aviation Administration's list of 40 "high-volume" airports where flights are being reduced by 10% during the federal government shutdown. The FAA is imposing the flight reductions to relieve pressure on air traffic controllers who are working without pay during the government shutdown and have been increasingly calling off work. And, while the focus has been on air traffic controller staffing shortages, WBAL-TV 11 News observed how the Transportation Security Administration at BWI-Marshall has just one security checkpoint open for general passengers.
