A grocery store in Northeast Baltimore is expected to close its doors at the beginning of next year. The Food Depot on Belair Road will not renew its lease, which ends Jan. 30, 2026. The change will impact around 80 employees, who were notified of the upcoming closure on Oct. 30. The CEO of B Green & Co., the company that owns Food Depot, blamed rising costs and declining SNAP benefits as reasons for closure.
