President Donald Trump called on Republican Senators to implement the "nuclear option," which would entail ending the filibuster, in an effort to end the now 31 day government shutdown.
In a pair of late night Truth Social posts made on Thursday, Trump accused the Democrats of having "gone stone cold 'crazy.'"
"THE CHOICE IS CLEAR — INITIATE THE “NUCLEAR OPTION,” GET RID OF THE FILIBUSTER AND, MAKE AMERICA GREAT," Trump wrote in one post.
