More than a dozen vehicles were broken into in a Baltimore County neighborhood. People say they came outside to find glass shattered and their vehicles ransacked.
"About 9:30 this morning, there was a knock on my door; it was two of my neighbors," said Harriet Cooper, whose car was broken into. "She said, 'You better get outside, 13 cars were broken into.'"
It's how many woke up Saturday in the Falls Garden neighborhood, where vehicle after vehicle was broken into.
"I wasn't even that upset. I didn't know what to think. Nobody was hurt, thank God," Cooper said. Trash bags and plastic now cover where the windows were. "The passenger side, right side window was the only one broken on every car, smashed in," Cooper said.
It's believed that around 14 vehicles were broken into. Neighbors say police came out and took fingerprints on the vehicles in hopes of catching whoever did all the damage. Cooper's glove box was rummaged through, and her belongings were covered in glass shards.
Thankfully, she does not keep valuables inside, but others have reported stolen items to police. The trail of damage goes along Clearwind Court, Woodbox Lane, Pipe Hill Court and Ten Timbers Lane. Other neighbors said they've seen attempted carjackings, break-ins and burglaries in their area in recent years.
