A 93-year-old man died Wednesday morning in a three-car crash north of Frederick, police said. Maryland State Police said troopers were called just after 8 a.m. to the southbound lanes of U.S. Route 15 near Hansonville Road. State police said a preliminary investigation indicates the man was trying to cross U.S. Route 15 when a Toyota Camry struck him. The impact of the crash forced the man's car into a telephone pole and the man died at the scene, police said. A third vehicle was struck by crash debris. The driver of the Toyota was taken to a hospital; the driver of the third vehicle was not injured, police said.
