The state received a "C" grade on the 2025 Report Card for Maryland's Infrastructure, a report released every four years by the American Society of Civil Engineers. This year's version includes a breakdown across more than a dozen categories, including the Key Bridge collapse, warnings about aging bridges and waning revenue sources.
