1965 GM Frigidaire Rollermatic washer - mechanically restored!

A full cycle video featuring a 1965 GM Frigidaire Custom Deluxe washer, model WCD-65.

A full mechanical restoration, or re-operation, was performed on the 2 speed, impact clutch Rollermatic mechanism. All bearings were either replaced or repacked, NOS retractor style rollers installed, and a new brake lining was used on a rebuilt spin wheel. The original agitate arm and agitate wheels were rebuilt using off the shelf automotive water pump bearings.

A 1964 three ring agitator column was paired with a low use 1966 pulsator, replacing the original Deep Action / Jet Action agitator.

Normal agitation speed is 330 strokes per minute, and the normal spin speed is 710 RPM.
